One person may enjoy the texture while the other notices the finish. Agreement is not the goal. The conversation can be more interesting precisely because you bring different preferences to the same table.
One collection is not two memberships
Society Selections is planned as a four-bottle collection at $295 per quarter. That differs from the Society’s in-person NYC membership, which costs $495 per individual member per quarter. Sharing a bottle at home does not create two event memberships or include seats at a New York gathering. Online access arrangements will be part of the final offer, so do not assume separate account access is included.
Plan around the person, not the shipment
Consider whether both people enjoy wine, whether either has strong style preferences, and whether a quarterly rhythm suits your routines. Avoid buying a recurring obligation as a surprise when a conversation would make the choice better. Before paid enrollment, confirm the wines and delivery arrangements together. The interest list is a way to learn more without making a financial commitment or choosing a date you cannot yet confirm.
Society Selections: the planned collection
Society Selections is being developed at $295 per quarter for four wines, a guided online tasting with a recording, tasting notes, producer stories, and food pairings. It is separate from the $495 quarterly NYC event membership. Final wines, host, licensed seller, shipping charges, taxes, and enrollment terms will be confirmed before orders open. Joining the interest list is free, takes no payment, and does not reserve a collection.
