AT A GLANCE
Use a collection as inspiration for a dinner. It is not a catered event or a promise of enough wine for every guest.
Let the wines suggest the conversation
A dinner built around a small selection can feel cohesive without becoming formal. You might explore one bottle over a meal or compare two styles with the same dish. Giving guests a little context can be enough: what connects the wines, what made the selection interesting, and what you would like everyone to notice. Leave room for conversation that moves beyond the bottles as well.
Keep the menu within reach
Choose food you can prepare confidently and make the tasting an addition to the evening. The planned Selections pairing notes are intended to offer ideas; they are not a supplied meal, allergy assessment, or guarantee that a particular dish will suit everyone. Ask your guests about dietary requirements separately. Water, appealing nonalcoholic options, and a relaxed pace are as much part of hosting as the glassware on the table.
Separate inspiration from event quantities
Four bottles do not define the right quantity for an unspecified party. Guest count, tasting pours, duration, and individual choices all matter. There is no expectation that the collection should be finished in one evening. If you need specific bottles for a fixed date, confirm stock and delivery with the seller before inviting people. Society Selections has no confirmed first shipping date, so it cannot currently serve as a time-sensitive dinner order.
Society Selections: the planned collection
Society Selections is being developed at $295 per quarter for four wines, a guided online tasting with a recording, tasting notes, producer stories, and food pairings. It is separate from the $495 quarterly NYC event membership. Final wines, host, licensed seller, shipping charges, taxes, and enrollment terms will be confirmed before orders open. Joining the interest list is free, takes no payment, and does not reserve a collection.
