Check the actual seller and delivery address before paying. A brand’s location does not determine every destination it can serve.
Find out who is selling the wine
A wine brand, an editorial curator, and the licensed seller may not be the same business. Identify the seller responsible for the order and use its confirmed service information. New York’s Liquor Authority notes that out-of-state sales depend on the receiving state’s laws. A general statement that a website operates nationally is not enough to establish that your particular order and address are eligible.
Plan for receipt rather than an unattended doorstep
UPS requires an adult aged 21 or older to sign for wine deliveries. Ask the seller which receipt options are available for the shipment before making plans. Consider your normal schedule, upcoming travel, and whether the address is current. If you need an alternative delivery arrangement, confirm it through the seller and carrier rather than assuming ordinary parcel instructions will apply to an alcohol shipment.
Read the exception policies before they matter
Ask how the seller handles a missed delivery, damaged package, address correction, or delay. Find out where to report a problem and what information the seller asks you to retain. A subscription should explain the operational process alongside the selection itself. Keep the confirmation and tracking details available, and inspect a delivery promptly rather than discovering an issue after the support window described in the seller’s terms has passed.
Treat launch availability as a separate question
A future product can collect interest without having a confirmed delivery area or date. That is the current stage of Society Selections. Its state field helps plan the launch; it is not an automated eligibility check and it creates no order. Before any purchase, the licensed seller, shipping availability, charges, and terms must be available for review.
Use current seller and regulator information when making a purchase. This guide identifies questions to ask and does not establish permission for a particular shipment. No international delivery, nationwide coverage, or arrival date is promised by the Society’s interest list.
